Is There Space for New Graduate Nurses in Pediatric Oncology?

For my senior high school capstone project, I focused on pediatric oncology, which included shadowing two physicians. I realized that although physicians do incredible work, the nurses I encountered were so hands on and appeared to make more lasting relationships with patients and their families. It seemed that nursing was truly the backbone of health care and that maybe becoming a physician was not what I was looking for in a career.
